2025 was a milestone year for Pixel Federation. After 19 years on the market as an independent Central European developer and publisher, we delivered one of our strongest years to date, driven by product growth, community engagement, and continued innovation across our portfolio.
Total revenue reached €41.2 million, up from €38.4 million in 2024. EBITDA reached €4.2 million, and net profit after tax amounted to €3.18 million, confirming stable and sustainable performance in a competitive mobile games market.
“But beyond the numbers, 2025 proved that long-term investment into our own IP, deeper player relationships, and a more connected ecosystem between our games and the real world can create sustainable growth even in a highly competitive mobile games market,” said Daniel Duranka, CEO of Pixel Federation

TrainStation 3: our biggest global launch to date
2025 marked a defining moment for the TrainStation franchise with the global launch of TrainStation 3. Our most realistic train tycoon yet became the most successful launch in Pixel Federation history and quickly established itself as a core pillar of our portfolio. And in its first seven months, it generated nearly €8 million in revenue and built a fast-growing, stable player base across multiple regions.
This success confirmed something we have believed for a long time: the TrainStation brand is not just durable, it is generational. Each new title strengthens the ecosystem while introducing new players into the world of transport tycoon gameplay.

TrainStation 2: long-term leadership in live ops
While TrainStation 3 expanded the franchise, TrainStation 2 continued to demonstrate the power of long-term live operations. With €12.8 million in revenue, it remains our highest-performing title. In 2025, the team introduced new event mechanics that significantly improved core KPIs and player engagement. These systems are now being rolled out across other titles in our portfolio.
TrainStation 2 continues to prove that sustained content, strong community focus, and iterative design can create long-term value over many years.
Community and real-world connections
A big part of 2025 was finding new ways to connect our games with the people and communities around them.
This year, we launched Save the Rails, a charitable initiative connecting the world of TrainStation with real railway heritage projects. Together with our players, we donated €50,000 to support historic railways in the UK and Slovakia. What started as an in-game idea became something tangible — helping preserve places, stories, and machines that inspired many of our games in the first place.

At the same time, we doubled down on player understanding. We invited some of our longest-serving players to spend a full week at our studio, giving teams the opportunity to explore motivations, endgame behavior, and long-term player needs in depth. These sessions have already influenced our design thinking and will continue shaping future products.
Inside the company, we continued looking for healthier and more sustainable ways of working, successfully piloting and adopting a four-day work week.
For us, 2025 was not only about growth in numbers, but also about strengthening the connection between our games, our players, and the people behind them.

What is next in 2026
2026 is set to be another transformative year for Pixel Federation.
Key priorities include:
- Highway Heroes, a new transport tycoon game launching globally in June
- A new post-apocalyptic tycoon title in the pipeline
- PixelCon, our first pilot game development conference on September 14
- Expansion of Save the Rails to Baltimore, USA

Closing note
2025 confirmed that long-term thinking, strong IP ownership, and deep player relationships remain the foundation of our success.
As we move into 2026, we are focused on scaling our portfolio, strengthening our community ecosystem, and continuing to build games that connect people across generations.
