Save the Rails Returns: Partnership with the B&O Railroad Museum

After successfully supporting the Čierny Hron Railway in Slovakia and the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway in the UK, our Save the Rails initiative is crossing the ocean. We are incredibly excited to announce our newest collaboration with the historic B&O Railroad Museum in the USA.

As train lovers ourselves, we created Save the Rails to connect our games with real-world railway preservation projects. This season, our players have the opportunity to support one of America’s most important railway institutions.

Learn more about this special collaboration in our documentary:

About the B&O Railroad Museum

Located in Baltimore, Maryland, the B&O Railroad Museum preserves the legacy of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, the birthplace of American railroading. The museum tells the story of American railroading for all generations and its mission goes far beyond displaying trains. It preserves a massive piece of American industrial, technological, and cultural history.

Meet the American Freedom Train No. 1

This season’s Charity Pack features a legendary piece of rolling stock. Created for America’s Bicentennial celebrations, the American Freedom Train No. 1 became a traveling symbol of national history.

Our artists carefully modeled it after the real locomotive preserved in Baltimore.

Now, players of TrainStation 2 and TrainStation 3 have the chance to add an authentic, digital version of this historic beauty to their permanent collection.

How You Can Help

Want to add this exclusive locomotive to your fleet and support real-world railway preservation at the same time?

Purchase the Charity Pack in TrainStation 2 or TrainStation 3 game and add the American Freedom Train No. 1 locomotive to your collection permanently. All proceeds from the Charity Packs go directly to the B&O Railroad Museum.

Special Charity Packs will be available on these dates:

  • TrainStation 2: July 1 to July 7
  • TrainStation 3: July 5 to July 7
